The annual International Forum “Security and Safety Technologies” to be held February 2-5, 2010 in the second pavilion of Exhibition Center “Crocus Expo” (Moscow), will present for the 15th time in a row everything the modern security and safety industry has for ensuring the security and safety of business, state and individual.
In 2010 the companies engaged in manufacturing and distribution, installation, integration, engineering companies, end-users (banks, trade and entertainment enterprises, transport and building organizations), law-enforcement and state authorities will have a chance to learn about new innovative products and solutions presented by some 200 companies from 15 countries.
The largest exhibition section – security and safety systems and solutions - will be presented by Panasonic, ITV, Acumen, AAM Systems, Axis Communications, DSSL, V1 Electronics, ISS, Cisco, Siemens, Informsvyaz-IS, Bezopastnost Company, TechnikService, etc.
Security solutions for IT and communication will be presented by Qnap Services, Surtel, Maskom, NELK Firm, NOVO, Aktiv-SB and others; security solutions for fire safety and control by Garant Company, Mavigard, etc; security and safety solutions for transport security by Zaschita Corporation, M2M Telematica, B&W International, Volkswagen. The exhibition will present collective expositions by FSS of Russia, Federal Agency for Information Technologies), and Roskosmos (Federal Space Agency).
Unique composition of the Forum participants alongside with the rich business program is the basis of its success. Thus, up to 70% of the event exhibitors are manufacturers and distributors of well-known brands, state enterprises account for some 10% and approximately 20% are direct international participants.
For the third year in a row "Security and Safety Technologies" is run in the framework of Reed Exhibitions’ global network of security and safety exhibitions. The event has expanded international participation and will present in 2010 the security and safety achievements by the companies from Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, Sweden, Turkey, France, Japan. Participants from Korea, China and Taiwan will be presented within national pavilions. In this respect, the exhibition is supported by the largest security and safety associations including the American Security Industry Association (SIA), Small and Medium Business Administration of Korea, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra).
The conference program of the Forum has a wide range of events for different specialists. The International Conference Terrorism and Transport Security unites representatives of the government authorities, Russia and CIS public organizations, business-elite will promote development of interdepartmental solutions ensuring transport security and safety at state level. The round table Application of satellite navigating system GLONASS will reveal a spectrum of opinions and issues relating to implementation of the system in transport area and will allow discussing the various aspects connected with its use both in Russia and abroad and, also, estimating the influence of system on security and safety level and quality. For the Day of Information Security several activities on vital topics are planned: round table Traditional annual meeting of the Head of Federal Space Agencies with IT-directors, Conferences Personal data protection and Usage of biometric security technologies in different objects, workshop Competitive intelligence in Internet.
The Forum "Security and Safety Technologies" is traditionally held with the support of government authorities, and is included in the plans of exhibitions of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Interior Affairs, FSS of Russia, Roskosmos, Federal Space Agency, the Government of Moscow. In the last few years, the Committee of the State Duma on Security and Safety has been taking an active part in preparation and work of the Forum. Active participation of the state representatives in organization of activities of the business program also points out their interest to the event.
On January 26, the ITAR-TASS news agency a press conference on “Interaction of business and state authorities with a view to counteracting the new challenges and threats” devoted to the International Forum "Security and Safety Technologies" was held. I. Svyatenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Moscow Municipal Duma on Security and Safety, said: “We try to draw on all new resources which are presented at these exhibitions or examined during panel discussions and which are actual for Moscow. At one of the previous exhibitions an idea of video observation was picked up, in such a case, new 3D image recognition technologies being used. Fire prevention during high-rise construction is presented with an appreciable number of issues. This question is to be discussed during the Forum in 2010”.
According to A. Zaitsev, head of “Okhrana” Center of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Russia, added: “The Forum is a good platform indeed for demonstration of technical possibilities which the government agencies, law enforcement bodies or individuals might have nowadays. This is the place where many issues can be discussed and situations somehow set in motion”.
Considering the difficulties which all the market participants met in 2009 and with a view of obtaining the maximal feedback from participation in the event we invested unprecedented resources in promotion of the exhibition. Modern marketing tools have been used: customer tailored approach to regional visitors, updated web-site; intensive advertising in federal and regional printed mass-media and Internet-portals; Internet-registration is open till the last date of the exhibition.
To the organizers and industry players, opening last year of a subway station next to the Exhibition Center became a significant event. Now, it takes just a few minutes walk for visitors and participants to get from Myakinino station to the show floor.
