There are no plans to delay the inauguration of three new stations (Mitino, Volokolamskaya, Myakininskaya) of  Moscow Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya subway line, scheduled for this year, – Mr. Dmitry Gayev, Head of Subway System said on Tuesday to RIA Novosti.

"I don’t see any reason for delaying the inauguration of these stations. A tender for equipment delivery to these stations will be held this week. Construction and installation activities are proceeding as scheduled. In September, we will completely loop the tunnels and finish the construction of a bridge across the Moskva River between Myakininskaya and Volokolamskaya stations. We plan to open these stations in December ", said Mr. Gayev.

Before this, Yury Luzhkov, Major of Moscow, also expressed his hope that the above-mentioned stations would be opened as scheduled.

As Mr. Gayev previously said that the inauguration of two new stations of Lyublinskaya line (Dostoyevskaya and Maryina Roshcha), also scheduled for this year, was delayed by five months.

Mitino and Volokolamskaya stations will be of a classic design, i.e. they will be made of granite and marble, similar to the majority of Moscow subway stations, whilst Myakininskaya will be in a high-tech style. Volokolamskaya will be situated along the Mitinskaya Street, in a green zone of the mass residential development area of the Mitino District, whilst Mitino station will be located at the intersection of the Mitinskaya and Dubravnaya Streets. Myakininskaya station will be located in Myakininskaya flood plain, in the territory of the Crocus-City trade & exhibition center.
